Literacy Project/The Shared Reading Project: Evaluation of the Keys to Success - Training for Site Coordinators
| Status: Ongoing | Begin date: Jan 12, 1999 | End date: No set date |
Description
This evaluation project is designed to assess the effectiveness of the training program Shared Reading Project: Keys to Success - Training for Site Coordinators. Keys to Success is a five-day training program established to prepare new site coordinators to implement the Shared Reading Project at their own schools or programs. A course evaluation and self-assessments completed by participants at the beginning and end of the training program focus on how participants feel about the training and what they learned from the program. The extent to which training participants can transfer learning and implement what they have learned is being addressed through follow-up evaluations at six months and one year following completion of training. The followup evaluation provided information about factors influencing training participants' implementation processes, SRP coordinators' goals and outcomes for SRP families and children, and suggestions for future support and training opportunities. The follow-up evaluation was completed in June 2005.
