| Status: Ongoing | Begin date: May 2005 | End date: No set date |
Description
This ethnographical study is exploring the meaning Gallaudet University has for students, faculty, staff, and alumni through interviews. This information will help the researchers and others further understand and assist people to understand Gallaudet as a place of innovation, research, and education. It will also focus on the importance of the university as the center of the Deaf Community and as a "home," as expressed by those who inhabit this place. A presentation on this project will be given at the National Communication Association Conference in Boston, MA on November 18, 2005.
