Description
The purpose of this study was to determine educator perceptions, knowledge, and understanding of IDEA 1997 and the implications of those findings regarding participation and accommodation policies for deaf and hard of hearing students in state- and district-wide assessments of students' academic achievement. Educators from public, day, and residential schools for deaf and hard of hearing students were surveyed regarding their awareness, attitudes, and responses to the challenges and problems resulting from recent federal and state policies.
