Description
The investigator developed a translation of a brochure from French to English at the request of the archivist at the Institut National de Jeunes Sourds de Paris. Madame Michelle Balle needed the translation of this brochure to enable visitors to the archives who were English-speaking to gain some knowledge of the history of the Institution and the life of its founder, the Abbé de l'Épée who is recognized as an important historical figure for recognizing the importance of sign language in deaf education.
