Description
The Association for the College Educators of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing received two grants from the U.S. Dept. of Education. The first covered the period from 9/99-8/00 and was for $161,000. The second covered the period following the award in June 2000 and was for $2.6 million. The third covers 10/03-9/06. Donna Mertens is the evaluator for these projects. The projects are designed to provide a partnership for faculty in all teacher education programs for the deaf and hard of hearing across the United States to enhance their abilities to use technology and the abilities of the students they train and the teachers they interact with in their student teaching placements.
