COMMENTS
Hope and Healing Family Counseling, LLC (HHFC) is a private practice that provides child-focused, trauma-informed mental health services to children, adolescents and families. We empower our clients through play therapy and other means to express their feelings in productive ways, engage in a journey to healing and feel encouraged to move beyond their difficult situation to healthy choices. Parents and caregivers are invited to join us as valuable partners in their child's experience. Using play therapy, sand tray therapy, parent-child relational therapies and Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, among other treatment modalities, we strive to limit the impact of a traumatic event or relationship so that healthy choices become real options. All children and families are welcome at HHFC, especially those who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind, or have a family member with a hearing loss. HHFC therapists are fluent in ASL, value Deaf culture and are experienced working with children and families touched by hearing loss. HHFC also offers services to professionals in regard to clinical social work supervision, play therapy supervision, trainings and consultation. We aspire to provide services to other mental health professionals so that they can excel as therapists and support underserved communities in their area. We aim to create a collaborative network of professionals who can support, learn, and consult with each other to promote professional growth in providing culturally competent and linguistically accessible mental health treatment.
