Research Applications Programmer, Gallaudet Research Institute (1983-present)
- Develop nationwide standardized test scoring software;
- Maintain Linux servers and services (web, listserver, database, etc);
- Develop software to publish a directory of colleges with deaf services (paperback & on-line);
- Design & maintain all Gallaudet Research Institute web pages;
- Troubleshoot PCs for staff;
- Develop tutorials and tips on computer use;
- Install software and instruct in its use.
Systems Programmer Trainee, Gallaudet University, Computer Services (1978-1983)
- Convert Braille translation system (Duxbury) from PDP-11 to DECsystem-10, and train student workers in its use;
- Convert student career guidance system (SIGI) from IBM 360 to DECsystem-10;
- Develop Cyrillic font for graphics terminal and convert Russian tutorial system from TTY-based system to graphics
terminal system;
- Develop a cross-disassembler (PDP-11 executable to Macro-11 written in Macro-10);
- Install and maintain operating system and software for PDP-11 computer;
- Educate and provide support for faculty and staff using the DECsystem-10.
Student Systems Operator/Administrator, Monroe Community College (1975-1977)
- Maintain Data General Nova 3 minicomputer;
- Tutor students in several programming classes.
